Just a note to remind you of my invitation for cocktails on Saturday, August 19, to inaugurate the new Balesin Private Villa. Cocktails will start at 5:30 pm and will end at 8:00 pm. All members and their guests who will be on the island on that long weekend are cordially invited.

Mike Asperin, our Island CEO, has also suggested to me that we resume the weekend raffles of Balesin Island Club memberships. I recall that we had this during August, September and October last year, and it was a big hit with our members and their guests.

The mechanics of the raffles are as follows:

1. Every member and guest, excluding children who are below 18 years old, will be qualified for the raffles.

2. Upon arrival in the island, they will be issued a raffle ticket.

3. The draws will be held at the Performance Theater at the Ground Floor of the Clubhouse at 10:00 pm.

4. The raffle draws will be preceded by an entertainment program which will include a karaoke contest and a surprise singer.

5. Your personal attendance is required in order for you to qualify. Those whose raffle tickets are picked, but are absent, will not be entitled to claim the raffle prize.

6. There will be three raffles every weekend as follows:

Friday night	1 Gold share (value Php2.2 mil)
Saturday night	1 Diamond share (value Php4 mil)
Sunday night	1 Gold share (value Php2.2 mil)

7. The first raffles will be held on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12.

I should also let you know that we have had unusually great weather in Balesin these last couple of weeks. We haven’t had a drop of rain and had brilliant sunshine almost all of the days. Sometimes it is wet and raining in Manila but absolutely fabulous weather in Balesin.
