M/Y OBSESSIONS

Balesin Island Club is also home to the M/Y “Obsessions” superyacht for the charter use of its members and guests. The yacht was brought from Piraeus, Greece where it regularly sailed to the famous Greek islands of Mykonos, Santorini, Hydra, Patmos, Symi and many others.

The 38.5-meter yacht was built by the world-renowned Heesen Yachts in Holland and is the pride of their fleet. It has an all-aluminum hull, which is much lighter than steel hulls and therefore can travel much faster. It is powered by two MTU 3500 horsepower engines, and is equipped with two stabilizers, assuring smooth and comfortable sailing despite occasional heavy seas.

The M/Y Obsessions can do a speed of up to 32 knots and therefore can outrun any weather, but it normally cruises between 12 to 15 knots. There are two generators on board that provide all the comforts of home, including air-conditioning throughout the boat. Internet and mobile communications also operate on board. Equipped with state-of-the-art marine navigation instruments, the yacht is in superb sailing condition.

The interior was designed by a world-famous Italian designer and is fully outfitted with Versace furniture and furnishings. The yacht has four beautifully decorated staterooms, all with en suite bathrooms. There is also a powder room on the main deck.
The yacht is often chartered for full-day trips to the surrounding Polillo Island group, as well as for sunset cruises around the island, dinners, and photo shoots.
